WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR COUPLES ADD-ON SESSION:
I’m so excited to have you in front of the camera for a spicy couples session in addition to your own experience! While I loved doing couples, it can easily turn into an uncomfortable situation if all parties aren’t on the same page. That’s where this guide and prep works come in! Please make sure to review everything in this short guide with your partner. It will ensure that we have the best experience possible!
WHAT TO WEAR:
Ladies: Pretty easy for women to be honest! We’ll do one to two outfits for this quickie couples sesh. Please review your Boudoir Prep Guide for guidance.
Men: I think that a laid back look is best for sessions like this. I’d suggest a pair of jeans and possibly a white or gray shirt (no distracting colors, patterns or logos please). Whatever you feel comfortable in but I’d mostly suggest keeping it a neutral color and no distracting patterns. Also make sure to have a nice pair of boxers or briefs underneath (Calvin Klein or something similar looks great) and no socks. We will start out shooting in just the shirt & jeans then work our way to taking his shirt off. This is a zero pressure space as always so if you want to keep your shirt on that is absolutely okay as well!
Your partner will only be allowed in the studio after the initial boudoir session has taken place. The last hour will be dedicated to the both of you.
HOW IT WORKS:
Your couples session is going to be very similar to your boudoir photoshoot! It will be very posed and as your photographer, I will tell you exactly what to do from start to finish. While the photos will look spicy, the process and photoshoot itself is not exactly spicy. I’ll put you in a pose and direct you while you hold the pose and I shoot. We will likely do around 10-20 poses.
GROUND RULES:
While there are rules here, I want all of us to still have fun of course! This is a fun bonding experience for you and your partner to enjoy together after all!
RULES:
No inappropriate comments. I always welcome words of affirmation to each other as partners - you should of course be able to compliment each other especially in such an intimate space! That is A-Okay. Comments that are unwelcome would be: asking to have the room alone for 15 minutes, asking or joking about doing sexual acts & me photographing, talking about your favorite sex positions, etc. I have to say & clarify all of this because it has happened. Please don’t make my job or our session awkward by making uncomfortable comments. I photograph spicy content but I’m a regular human with boundaries. The last thing I want is to feel uncomfortable around people who I view as friends during their session.
Everything is posed. As I mentioned, everything that we do is “suggestive” which means that while in the photo it will look like something is happening or is spicy but in reality it is in fact not actually happening. I’ll tell you both what to do the entire time including where to put your hands, when to kiss, where to look, etc. Everything from start to finish will be directed by me as your photographer. Please do not hijack the session and begin doing inappropriate things (such as making out or grabbing each others body parts). The session will immediately stop and you will be asked to leave.
I hate that I have to lay all of this out in rules but I have to say it considering it has happened in the past. But let’s make this super fun without it being uncomfortable or crossing boundaries!
TIMELINE:
8am: Arrive to the studio for professional hair and makeup. Please arrive with a clean face and clean, dry hair. Hair and makeup will take roughly 60-90 minutes. Your partner is more than welcome to sit with you during hair and makeup but they will be asked to leave when we begin our initial boudoir session.
9:30am: Time to start photographing! This will last until 12pm.
12pm: Your partner will be allowed back in the studio and we will begin our couples session add on! Things will move a bit slower than a solo session because we’re working with two people but we are going to get a ton of fire content! You can expect to be wrapped up around 1pm.
